About Rebecca

Sound has always been at the heart of my life.

Before becoming a sound therapist, I spent 15 years as an actress and musician, performing leading roles in London’s West End and beyond. Some of my career highlights include playing Sophie in The BFG (West End), Cecily in The Importance of Being Earnest, Cathy in Whistle Down the Wind and composing music for “Waking”, the first-ever show at Soho Theatre.

Beyond theatre, I also explored music production and had the privilege of co-creating an album with the legendary Kirsty Hawkshaw—a pioneer in ambient and electronic music.

But what fascinated me most wasn’t just performance—it was how sound makes us feel.

I trained with the British Academy of Sound Therapy (BAST) to deepen my understanding of sound as a healing tool. This isn’t just a beautiful experience—it’s rooted in science. As Einstein said, “Everything is energy.” Sound vibrates through the body, helping to release tension and restore balance in profound ways.

The science of sound therapy

Sound therapy isn’t just a feeling—it’s backed by science. Studies show that low-frequency sound waves can influence the nervous system, shifting us from a state of stress (fight or flight) to deep rest (parasympathetic state).

Scientific findings:

- Brainwave entrainment: Sound helps slow brain activity, moving from beta (busy thinking) to alpha & theta (deep relaxation).

- Resonance & vibration: Because the body is mostly water, sound frequencies travel through tissues, helping to release tension, pain, and emotional blocks.

- Heart rate & breath regulation: Studies show that sound therapy can reduce heart rate variability, promoting relaxation and well-being.

Sound healing isn’t just a concept—it’s a deeply physical experience that influences our brain, body, and emotions in real, measurable ways.

What makes my sessions so unique?

🎵 I weave in live harp and sometimes voice—creating a rich, immersive experience.

✨ Every session is intuitive and tailored, never a one-size-fits-all approach.

🌀 My background in music, theatre, and storytelling allows me to tune into people’s emotional and energetic states, creating a space for deep transformation.

Beyond sound therapy, I’m a mum of three, a dog walker, and a tea-drinker from the Wirral. When I’m not running sessions, you’ll find me exploring the countryside or sharing ideas with friends in the world of therapy, medicine, and wellness.
